About Professional Photographer Kevin Day
My love for photography started around the age of 7. It started with me using my dad’s old camera. I would take random photos here and there until one day I decided I was going to position my stuff animals around the house and photograph them. This was back in the days of film so my mom was not at all thrilled when she would come back from picking up the double prints of my stuffed animals.
But in retrospect that was my start to what would eventually become my career.
I have been working in the industry for over 15 years, gaining knowledge that is only learned from time, dedication and experience. After graduating from New England School of photography, with a major in fashion photography. I started the business in March of 2007. In the beginning I took all types of jobs to find my place in the industry. It wasn’t long till I found where my specialties lay in photography. And just like all those years ago photographing my stuffed animals as if they were people. Working and photographing people has been my passion in the industry, always trying to get the best out of each subject.
Today I specialize in headshots, model portfolios, corporate/business headshots as well as commercial and branding photography. Come to my studio for your session or if you have multiple people to be photographed, we can come to your office or desired location.
I like to create a comfortable and relaxing environment in my Boston studio, which is located at 460 Harrison Ave in the historical South End. Home of SOWA Sundays and lots of other local artists. Some days my dog Millie (AKA the company mascot) may make a cameo.
Whether you are a business looking for headshots or marketing materials to grow and make your business more professional. A model looking for the best portfolio or actor looking for the perfect headshot, you have come to the right place. I pride myself in my work and always give everything my best energy and efforts. I have been called one of Boston’s Top Photographers and I am humbled to be in this grouping.

What type of headshot do you need is a great first question to ask yourself?
When considering what type of headshot you need, it's essential to ask yourself a few key questions to ensure the photo aligns with your goals. First and foremost, identify the purpose of the headshot—whether it's for a professional profile on LinkedIn, acting or a business headshot. Consider the industry you are in and the standards with in it. Some industry headshots are more casual, while others have a more conservative and classic headshots. Additionally, think of the message you want to convey through your expression, attire, and background. Taking the time to reflect on these aspects will help make sure you have a headshot that is an authentic representation of yourself.
Business Headshots
A business headshot serves as a visual introduction to your professional identity. Begin by contemplating industry norms and the level of formality that aligns with your specific field. Your attire, carefully chosen, should not only reflect professionalism but also convey your personal style within those established boundaries. Your headshot should portray you in a polished professional manner and to make a lasting impression on clients, colleagues, and prospective employers. The background, which we will help you select once we talk about what type of headshot you would like when we meet you in person, should complement rather than distract, directing attention to the key focal point—your face.
