Antonietta
Antonietta might be the most frequent and dedicated clients of Kevin Day Photography. We have been working with Antonietta for over 7 years! We see her at least twice a month since she is signed with Model Club Inc modeling agency, one of Kevin Day Photography’s biggest clients.
Antonietta, a mother of two, is a commercial model and brand ambassador for multiple companies such as Steve Madden, Fanatics, Charles River Apparel, Worth and Dr. Gross skincare line. The modeling bug also runs in her family, both of her sons are signed with Model Club Inc as well. We see all three every couple of months for updates for their model portfolios, which is especially important for her ever growing sons. Antonietta and her family are also frequently in for fun and creative family photoshoots, especially around Halloween. We always look forward to seeing what fun idea she comes up with next for her family photoshoots! She is also a prime example of a model that follows the top five tips for being in front of a camera that we’ve talked about in previous blog posts.
As our first Featured Client at Kevin Day Photography we asked Antonietta to answer a few questions:
Why did you decide to get into modeling?
“I have a love for fashion and I was at the mall one day and they were doing an agency promotion event. They asked if i would ever be interested in modeling, so i thought it would be a great opportunity for me!”
What are your favorite types of photo shoots to book as a model?
“Well, I’m an esthetician and make up artist, so skin care and print work are definitely my favorites.”
To you, what is the most important thing to remember in front of the camera during a photoshoot at Kevin Day Photography?
“Have fun and see it as if you’re almost talking to someone else. Also, keep moving, it’s almost as if you are dancing with the camera. Sometimes it’s easy to get anxious and caught up in the moment, but when you are comfortable with the photographer it makes everything so much easier!”
What advice would you give someone trying to break into the Boston modeling scene?
“Promoting yourself is super important. Nowadays everything is about social media so it helps to be more on top of that. I would also recomend updating your photos and books to keep everything fresh.”
