Why is a Model Portfolio Important?
A model portfolio is essential to show potential agents and clients who you are. Deciding how you fit into the industry is a key way of deciding what looks you should present. Having a professional portfolio is important to putting your best foot forward right from the start. Think of this as your business card for the industry.
Agencies don't make money unless you book jobs. To get signed, they need to see that you represent a profitable investment.
Understanding the Different Types of Modeling
A common question I get is: "What is the difference between a headshot and a portfolio?" While a model headshot focuses on your face and expressions, a full model portfolio demonstrates your versatility to agents and clients.
Commercial Modeling: This creates approachable, relatable looks used for advertisements, catalogs, and websites. It requires a natural smile and connection with the camera.
Fashion & Editorial: Focused on high-fashion, runway, and magazines. These images are often more artistic, edgy, and require strong posing skills.
Fitness & Lifestyle: Shows off physique, movement, and athletic ability. Great for sports brands and health products.
The "Digitals" (Polariods): Every portfolio needs simple, un-retouched photos (black or white tank topper t shirt, no makeup) to show agencies your natural beauty and bone structure. Add these onto any Model Portfolio package.
Model Coaching: Don't Worry About Experience
Walking into a studio can be intimidating, especially if you are just starting. But don't worry—half of the models that come to my studio have never modeled before.
Included in my sessions is model coaching and training. For new models, I provide a mini modeling lesson before we start to shoot. I will teach you how to move, how to pose, and how to connect with the lens so that your final images look like you’ve been doing this for years.
If you get stuck and are not sure what to do, I will help you. My studio atmosphere is relaxed and stress-free, ensuring we capture your authentic confidence and amazing photos that will represent you in the modeling world.
Preparing for Your Session

Wardrobe: Bring clothes that fit perfectly and are free of stains or distracting logos. Steam or iron your clothes before your session. Although we do have a steamer doing this during your session will take time away from the photo taking part of the session. Coming prepared is key to a successful shoot.

Variety: Pack more outfits than you need. We will help you select the best options on-site to ensure a diverse look. Keep in mind to make these outfits diverse and not all similar. An example: Don't bring 5 athletic looks to your session. Make it diverse. By doing one athletic look, one casual lifestyle look or a business look this will showcase you more as a model. The more your looks are diverse the more likely you are to book the job. Casting agents will be able to place you in that role.

Practice: Look at poses online and practice in the mirror before you arrive. There are a lot of YouTube videos on posing that can help you feel more prepared.

Styling: We offer professional hair and makeup artists as an add-on to give your photos that industry-standard polish. However, you are always welcome to do your own hair and makeup or choose a natural look.

SESSION ADD-ONS
Classic Retouching $45 per image (Skin clean up, fly away hairs, whitening of teeth, eye enhancement)
Extensive Retouching $65 per image (Anything that is not listed on the classic option)
Digitals: $75 Add to any modeling package (These are not available separately).
Make-up/Hair
Rates range from $250-$350 on all packages except All Half Day Packages or Full Day, which have special rates.
Rush option
$150 Available on select packages. 2 business days. Standard image return is 7-10 days.
